Key Criteria
Experience in leading on building capability and/or capability assessments for large multifaceted organisations. (Lead Criteria)
Experience of communicating confidently, with the ability to influence a range of diverse stakeholders, to maximise customer experience and/or business performance.
Ability to provide evidence-based solutions, work across boundaries, when leading initiatives, and bring them together to realise improved business performance.
Experience of delivering against challenging deadlines, using project management methodologies, to inform/influence DWP strategic decisions.
Demonstrable experience of, and confidence in, management of budgets, forecasting and monitoring, including supplier/commercial management.
Ability to analyse and interpret complex policies and requirements to identify suitable learning/capability solutions to meet the business need and inform/influence DWP strategic decisions
Desirable Criteria
For jobs located in Wales, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable skill.

As part of the application process you will be asked to complete a CV and Personal Statement of Suitability of no more than 1250 words. The Personal Statement of Suitability will be assessed against the Key Criteria listed earlier in this advert.
The lead criteria will be scored initially before the sift panel move on to sift and score the remainder of your Personal Statement of Suitability.
Your Personal Statement of Suitability should be based on evidence of what you did and how you did it in order to achieve the outcomes notified. The CV is an on-line tool accessed through the Civil Service Jobsite and there is no requirement to upload your personal CV.
Our CV element is short, and allows an initial check of eligibility, so please put the main content of your evidence and skills in your Personal Statement of Suitability.
After the sift is complete, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a live video interview where an Interview Panel will interact with you throughout the interview ensuring you are able to present your evidence in real time.
During the interview you will be required to deliver a short verbal presentation. You will be given information about the presentation subject in advance to enable you to prepare The presentation will be assessed against the Civil Service Behaviour “Communicating and Influencing”. You will not be required to use visual aids and your presentation will be timed and should last no more than 5 minutes. The panel Chair will politely indicate when your 5 minutes has expired. This is followed by a short question and answer session about your presentation.
The remainder of the interview will include questions based around the following Civil Service Behaviours; Leadership, Seeing the Big Picture, Developing Self and Others and Working Together. You will also be asked Strength questions aligned to the five Behaviours being assessed. The Panel will advise you when moving from a Behaviour to a Strength question.
The overall interview last around 45 minutes and will be conducted via live video using MS Teams, you will need to use your personal device to access the video link.

A reserve list may be held for a period of 12 months from which further appointments can be made.
