The Head of Security Education and Awareness role sits within the Security and Data Protection (S&DP) Directorate. The post holder will play a key role leading the delivery of the Security Education & Awareness (SEA) programme and campaigns. The SEA programme is responsible for providing advice and guidance on all aspects of security to DWP colleagues.
The post holder will lead an energetic and enthusiastic team comprised of permanent staff and contingent labour located in a number of different hubs across the country.
The main purpose of this role is to drive and promote positive security behaviours across DWP, building partnerships to ensure SEA activity is insight- and data driven and responsive to risk and threats. You will lead a multi-disciplinary approach comprising of campaigns, e-learning, other behaviour change products and interventions, and the advice services of the portal, chatbot and Security Advice Centre. Your aim is to improve and embed a strong security culture, alongside a responsive and effective security advice and guidance function.

Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer should maintain their current salary.
Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion may move to the bottom of the next grade pay scale or 10% increase in salary whichever would be the greater.
This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.
