This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about leading and shaping early talent across the Department for Transport.
The DfT Talent and Apprenticeships Team is part of the DfT HR team in the Corporate Delivery Group (CDG) which has approximately 300 staff. CDG support the operational business, operating a Group Model with key policies being developed by a central team on behalf of the core Department and its Agencies. Talent and Apprenticeships are key functions which enable the department to deliver its challenging agenda and build skills for now and in the future.
As the successful candidate, you will be involved in running programmes that help people build employability skills by holding workshops on topics such as application writing, interview and presentation skills. Being a team player, you will also support your colleagues with their roles such as conducting ID verification checks for applicants, uploading sift and interview results and assisting with email inbox queries.
This role sits within a small but supportive team that endeavours to help each other out when needed. There is opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in this role and you are encouraged to do so when possible. This fast paced environment requires you to be reactive to changing situations and have the ability to prioritise conflicting demands, should they arise.

About You
We are looking for someone who has exceptional communication skills and can express themselves in a confident and concise manner with colleagues at all levels. You will represent the Agency in a professional and clear manner, ensuring key messages are delivered to both internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
As the face of the team, you will be confident in providing excellent customer service and love to go the extra mile to ensure you give a first-class service.
You would be described as a diligent person, happy to concentrate on your work and do a thorough job even when under pressure. You are ready to react quickly and will be a focused and calm person who can get the job done regardless of the environment you are in.
You must hold a CIPD qualification or have the willingness to work towards gaining a CIPD qualification in post.
Additional Info
You may be required to travel to other DfT offices once a month. This is likely to involve overnight stays.
