Job description
BEIS HR is responsible for delivering some of the most complex transformational projects and programmes across the whole Department. When BEIS needs to transform to deliver changing priorities in a changing environment, it is HR that make it happen – with new strategies, structures, training & development, policies and workforce management information. Being a Project & Transformation manager in BEIS HR means you are at the forefront of ensuring BEIS can meet Ministerial demands.
This role will be responsible for supporting major HR transformation projects, leading smaller projects, supporting the whole of HR in its delivery of change, and developing and supporting more junior colleagues. These projects could include CS25, major departmental restructuring, Spending Reviews, People Strategies, and more.
There is also an opportunity for role holders to get involved in the team’s organisational design consultancy function; if applicants are interested in this, they should highlight their relevant experience in their application.

Skills and Experience
We are looking for a candidate with experience of project delivery in an HR context e.g. restructuring, HR policy change. Ideally, you will have experience of working in major organisational transformation.
We would love to hear from you if you have project & programme management qualifications, or are willing to work towards them, e.g., APM (Association for Project Management) Qualification, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), Project Leadership Programme (PLP) or similar.
Technical skills to be assessed during the selection process:
Planning – Candidates should give an example of when they have defined and planned a project with significant HR or people considerations. This relates to the Planning competency on p22 of the Project Delivery Capability Framework.
