DEO Dental Group Hiring for Instructional Designer Job at Remote Full Time

If this sounds like you, keep reading! The Dentist Entrepreneur Organization’s Learning and Development Team is looking for an extremely passionate and talented Instructional Designer! This role is equal parts educational copywriting, resource building (including tools, quick guides, and other educational materials), and editing. The DEO is a membership organization that connects dental entrepreneurs with the people, education and resources to achieve their goals and fulfill their vision.

This is a full-time position 35-40 hours per week. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 annually, with a generous incentive program, a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k plan, company-paid short and long-term disability coverage, and paid time off. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work anywhere. Role

The Instructional designer directly contributes to the mission of the organization by being the primary liaison with industry subject matter experts (SMEs). They take the SME’s vision and turn it into a reality through the creation and editing of education tools and resources that the DEO provides to their members. This role focuses primarily on the analysis and design portion of the ADDIE Model (we have a team of creative rock stars to support the development!). Responsibilities

• Support Learning & Development team in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of DEO member resources

• Assume primary responsibility for the analysis and design phase (about 70% of time will be spent here)

• Work with visionaries to take their ideas and make them a reality

• Serve as the liaison between the L&D team and industry speakers and thought leaders

• Design and develop learning content that engages the learner and enhances knowledge retention

• Writing and editing educational content for DEO members

• Design slide decks for virtual training and events

• Create learning assets and resources such as workbooks, quick guides, templates, forms, etc.

• Modify existing instructional materials

• Collaborate with the Learning & Development team on the development of content and resources to create engaging and effective learning experiences

• Research, analyze, and apply tested and innovative trends in digital learning technologies, best practices, pedagogies, and instructional design

• Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document learning and development programs

• Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines

• Collaborate with our creative team in developing educational resources

• All other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Results

The successful Instructional Designer will create high quality resources within tight timeframes. They will collaborate effectively with the Learning & Development team to support larger learning initiatives and to create an engaging and consistent learning experience for the DEO membership.

• Resource production turnaround – on or ahead of schedule

• Resources produced in alignment with brand guidelines and style guides

• Resources create the desired engagement with the DEO membership

Requirements

Technical & Tools

• Experience with the following design tools: Canva, Google Suite (slides, sheets, docs), PowerPoint

• Experience with Project Management Software (we use Asana)

• Tech savvy and comfortable working in a completely remote environment

• Has a home office set up with strong internet connection

Functional Knowledge

• Knowledge of adult learning theory and its application to instructional design

• Experience with utilizing the ADDIE model

• Knowledge of Rapid Instructional Design principles and application

• Knowledge of copyright and its relationship to design

• Obsessive attention to detail and eye for consistency and accuracy

Interpersonal Skills

• Has incredibly strong communication skills and enjoys working with the entrepreneurial avatar as the primary SME

• Has strong leadership skills and is comfortable working with executives

• Is highly collaborative and thrives in a team-based environment with rapid feedback

• Can operate independently and make decisions confidently

BONUS:

• Previous experience working in the healthcare field

• Previous experience as a trainer or coach (understanding of the other side of instructional design)
