Denso Hiring for Packaging Engineer at Athens, TN Full Time

DENSO is looking for a Packaging Engineer 3 at their Athens, TN location. This individual will d evelop and design packaging methods and materials to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner for the attractive and safe shipping of products under varying conditions of climate, environment, and differing modes of transportation, using lubricants, protective materials, ASTM and ISTA testing, and other methods as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage packaging project level budgets.
• Perform packaging vendor selection, review proposals/quotations of outside packaging vendors regarding the purchase of new packaging or the modification of existing packaging.
• Procure mass production packaging.
• Regular direct interaction with customers, suppliers, and vendors as a representative of the company.
• Provides technical support for PC and Logistics activities, which may include monitoring packaging, maintaining and developing Packaging systems, troubleshooting issues pertaining to Packaging systems and activities and developing appropriate countermeasures, assisting in the coordination of new product activities, and conducting packaging/handling cost down activity.

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, electrical or other engineering discipline
• Relevant industry experience

Salary:

• $84,300 – $94,770
