We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our global Mobile Automation Research & Development team in Belrose, Sydney. The key responsibilities of this role are:

• Software development activities in C# and .NET including API development and Client / Server applications
• Working closely within a cross functional agile R&D team
• Involvement in the full software life cycle including Analysis, Build, Testing, Integration, Release and Support activities
• Contributing to continuous improvement of our code and processes
• Working in an international environment collaborating with agile development teams based in 6 locations globally

Tasks and Qualifications:

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications, skills & experience:

• Degree in Software Engineering (or similar) or equivalent experience
• Junior 2-3 years experience using C# / .NET, SQL, Git etc for Application Software Development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
• A passion for delivering high quality software and technical excellence
• Ability to work both autonomously and with cross-functional teams to build partnerships and get things done
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Occasional travel may be required

Experience in the following would be an advantage:

• Developing software using technologies such as Object Oriented Programming, API development, .NET Core, Microservices and Docker/Kubernetes Containers, TCP/IP and Web Services
• Using and Maintaining a CI/CD DevOps pipelines using Git, Jenkins etc
• Agile software development practices
• Software Testing principles and practices both automated and manual
• Workflow tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience in the logistics industry, warehouse automation or mechatronic systems
