The Software Engineer 4 will be responsible for recommending solution options, mentoring of more junior software engineers, technical design, development, and support of technology projects. Works under the direction of a Development Manager and works closely with Project Managers, IT Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, Testers and infrastructure to effectively contribute to the technology solutions for a project.

Develops & unit tests software solutions by studying information needs, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigates areas of uncertainty; follows and promotes the software development lifecycle

Works closely with other IT groups and customers to define technical deliverables based on customer needs and objectives utilizing Deluxe standards and industry best practices

Has an advanced understanding of business complexities, problems, and opportunities and works with business partners to formulate and make technical recommendation options

Participates in reviewing Business requirements, creates Detailed Design documentation and other configuration and deployment documentation

Responsible for ensuring that detailed documentation, support knowledge xfer, configuration and support process are provided and maintained

Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors in Computer Science to related field

Experience: 3 years of Software Development

3+ years of experience in .NET, specifically C# and ASP.NET MVC

1+ year of experience with 2 or more of the following front-end technologies to include HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and Bootstrap

3+ years of experience and understanding with programming concepts (Object Oriented)

2+ years of experience designing and implementing web-based applications

1+ years of experience with basic SQL concepts and commands

1+ years of experience with Git or similar source code control tool

1+ years of experience in a fast-paced, agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors in Computer Science to related field

Experience: 8 years of Software Development

6+ months of experience with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards

2+ years of experience with RESTful Web Services

6+ months of experience with containerization using Docker or similar technologies

1+ years of experience/exposure to IIS

2+ years experience troubleshooting production systems

6+ months of experience/exposure with T-SQL, stored procedures and table design

6+ months of experience with AppDynamics

6+ months of experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)

6+ months of integration experience with Mulesoft

1+ year of experience with OWASP/secure coding practices

6+ months of experience with Rancher

6+ months of experience with Ruby

6+ months of experience with Jira

Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts in layman terms.

Ability to understand basic business concepts and flows and provide viable technical alternatives

Ability to work with offshore development teams
