Our Client is seeking Teacher Aides to provide support in classrooms.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT’S DESCRIPTION OF TEACHER AIDE OPPORTUNITY

• De-escalate students who demonstrate behavioral challenges
• Assist classroom teacher with lesson delivery, classroom management, and material development
• Track student progress throughout the day, sometimes with the use of charts or graphics
• Empower students with strategies that enhance their strengths
• Provide an encouraging and supportive presence to students
• Monitor the classroom to minimize distractions and disruptions
• Help teacher facilitate technology in the classroom when necessary

TEACHER AIDE REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Minimum of High School Diploma or its equivalent
• An Associate’s Degree in Child Development or related field (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degrees a PLUS
• Experience with children who demonstrate behavioral challenges and/or have special needs including autism or medical fragility
• Willingness to complete PMT (restraint) training
• Ability to complete and satisfactorily pass given background checks
