Responsibilities:In this role, you will:
Instigate the prevention of defects in all phases of the manufacturing processes.

Perform incoming inspections of raw materials and maintain the incoming inspection system.

Conduct in-process audits during all the stages of our manufacturing processes.

Inspect and test manufactured products according to written audit procedures (Final Audit).

Calibrate test equipment according to calibration schedule and procedures.

Arrange for calibration of test equipment at external calibration laboratories.

Maintain records of test equipment entered in the calibration system.

Participate in continual improvement projects and root cause analysis investigations.

Prepare formal reports for special quality investigations.

Required skills and abilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimum supervision.

Initiative and creativity to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Experience conducting SMT, PCB & PCBA inspections (IPC standard).

Experience conducting product testing.

Knowledge and comprehension of measuring techniques, tools and equipment within a manufacturing environment.

Preferred skills and abilities

Familiarity with inspection practices and solder knowledge.

Technical skills including electronics and electro-mechanical principles.

Hands-on experience identifying, investigating, documenting and helping to resolve Quality issues in electronics manufacturing environment.

Understanding of quality management, ISO certification requirements, organizational theory.

Experience required:
Minimum qualifications and experience

Quality training from a recognized institution (e.g. BCIT) or equivalent education, training, and/or experience.

Experience in quality control and quality assurance.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
