Your role

You will be a key part of the product team building one of Deloitte’s newest and most exciting new businesses. As a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) software delivery manager, you will be instrumental in the development and delivery of one of our product lines.

You will be responsible for overseeing the full SaMD development process throughout the product lifecycle and work closely with the engineering team, product managers and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. The role will require a candidate who has experience in SaMD and is passionate about creating maximal impact within healthcare. Underpinning this is a focus on agile development techniques within a heavily regulated environment and supporting the team in following these practices to ensure the delivery of impactful and high-quality SaMD products.

Primary responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of one of the products in our SaMD portfolio.
• Work using Agile methodologies to coordinate the product team and ensure the team is able to deliver key product features and meet development targets.
• Manage the delivery team’s contributions to the UKCA regulatory approval process, ensuring these are built in to project timelines.
• Take on the role of risk manager within the UKCA regulatory framework, identifying and managing product risks
• Maintain effective and efficient team working, ensuring all team members are supported and motivated.
• Support the product lead to build and maintain the product roadmaps
• Work with the product manager and engineering teams to coordinate user and technical requirements.
• Work closely with the product lead and engineering lead to shape the product backlogs and release the product roadmap and delivery plans.
• Contribute to overall project management processes across the portfolio of HealthTech Products.

Your professional experience

• Experience as a delivery manager within a SaMD product development environment with understanding of the full product lifecycle.
• Experience of taking a software product through the UKCA regulatory process
• Strong capabilities in agile software development methodologies, with the ability to coach and lead teams in Agile and Lean best practices.
• Experience managing and scaling product teams across the different phases of product delivery.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and the health technology landscape.
• Strong capabilities working in an agile software development environment (e.g. Kanban or Scrum).
• Commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers to enable product prioritisation decisions.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to quickly digest information and provide critical insights.
• Strong stakeholder management experience, able to work strategically and build collaborative relationships across multiple teams with stakeholders of all levels.
