We are seeking a talented Junior Management Accountant to join our National Finance team – if you have 2-3 years experience in an accounting, finance or a similar position, this is an excellent opportunity to refine your business partnering skills and contribute to a large team!
What will your typical day look like?
This role is an internal-facing position that provides management reporting and accounting support to the Business, as well as involvement in ad hoc activities. You will be responsible in assisting the Business Finance Manager(s) to review the financial performance of the Business, provide analysis on factors affecting performance and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you will also contribute to the development of Business strategic initiatives, financial policies and procedures and financial objectives.
Main duties include:
Preparation and detailed analysis of weekly and monthly results. Analyse performance against financial plan, forecast and other relevant metrics. Provision of meaningful, actionable management reporting in a timely manner
Develop and maintain constructive and trusted relationships with key stakeholders within the Finance team and Business as appropriate.
Contribute to the strategic support the Finance Team is providing for the Business and become involved in ad hoc projects
Assist with the month end process including calculating and processing accrual journal entries
Collate and assist the BFMs to analyse forecast information in line with Business requirements
Contribute to the development of a detailed planning schedule and process to assist Business leadership
Resolve Business financial issues raised or escalate to the BFL as necessary
Assist the BFL to monitor and take action in cases of non-compliance with Finance policies and procedures
Assist the BFL / BFMs in managing the Finance team to deliver the Business’ needs and the National Finance strategy

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong communication, interpersonal and change management skills as well as a high level of emotional intelligence.
You are someone with:
2-3 years relevant experience in an accounting, finance or similar position
Commercial accounting skills and strong commercial acumen
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Robust financial understanding, including delivery, review and analysis of financial results to support strategic decision making
Proactively seek resolution to identified issues
Professionalism, respect and personal ownership for the integrity and accuracy of financial results
Development of effective business partnering relationships
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with all levels within the Partnership
An innovative mindset and a drive for continuous improvement, aligned to change management skills
