What you’ll achieve

The Automation Engine Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products to support the demands of quality, development, automation and ops engineers.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing complex systems and applications to help drive quality, development and automation operations. You will work as part of team supporting an internal web-based application but will be exposed to full stack software development and multiple technologies.

You will:

• Gather and translate internal customer requirements into specific software solutions
• Design, develop, document, test and deploy software applications widely used across the organization
• Collaborate as part of a multi-site team with remote manager
• Communicate regularly and effectively across various mediums
• Troubleshoot, resolve issues and explore new technologies/approaches

Essential Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent)
• Working knowledge in one or more programming languages from Java/JavaScript,C++/C, Python or others
• Insight into service based/distributed applications and architecture
• Exposure with UI and web-based application development
• Good understanding of software interactions, software design concepts and algorithms

Desirable Requirements

• Experience developing software components using standard frameworks Spring, ReactJS, Angular (or others) managed under industry source control system
• Experience working in a remote/virtual team setting

Interviews will take place via Zoom in October/ November time, please expect a delay.

On Sept. 28th, 29th and 30th, Dell Technologies will be hosting our Dell On Tour virtual events featuring current and former graduates, senior leadership, a CV and interview workshop as well as a Q&A where students can have their questions about #lifeatdell answered. • Students interested in Services and HR roles can attend on Wednesday, Sept. 29 (This is roles in HR, Technical support, data analytics and Project management)
• Students interested in Finance and Product & Operations roles can attend on Thursday, Sept. 30. (This is roles in our supply chain department from engineers both Hardware and Software to PMs to Supply chain analysts and other business related disciplines)
