Delaware Adolescent Program, Inc (DAPI) Hiring for Teachers ( ELA and Science) – New Castle County, DE at Bear, DE Full Time

DAPI is looking for part-time (15-30 hours/week) Teacher positions available within its New Castle, Kent, and Sussex County Centers. The person is expected to drive to their respective location every day to work with students. The classes will require an understanding of blended learning techniques as we do use Edmentum/Plato as part of our learning engagement. Schoology is the learning management system used by the organization. The candidates are expected to be familiar with hybrid and online learning techniques due to any COVID-19 response. The following positions are:

• New Castle County (Bear, DE) – English, Science
• Sussex County Center (Georgetown, DE) – ELL, ELA, Social Studies

Qualifications: Demonstrated ability as a classroom teacher working with diverse learners, including those with special needs; a range of teaching strategies and instructional techniques, including blended learning techniques. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A strong passion for helping pregnant and parenting teens obtain a quality education. The right candidate must have a demonstrated ability to work as a team member. Experience working with at-risk youth is a plus.
