IT Retail Applications Manager

£55k – £65k per year

Would you like to work with a rapidly expanding retail organisation? My client, based outside of Letchworth are looking to recruit an IT Retail Applications Manager, who is keen to progress their career. You will lead the development of our client’s retail applications as required, delivering change within a dynamic and diverse team.

Responsibilities:

*Manage the team to develop and support a number of key business applications and platforms (e.g. Retail centres, Mobile, Salesforce etc.).

*Be a Subject Matter Expert in our future technologies – Microservices creation and management, Salesforce, Azure DevOps.

*Lead the Retail Applications team to ensure it contributes to the company achieving its goals. Develop the skills and capabilities of the team to meet the needs of the business.

*Work with the IT Architecture team to implement and manage application product roadmaps, status reporting, metrics and benchmarks.

*Implement Agile, ITIL and DevOps frameworks and ensure team processes, roles and responsibilities align to these methodologies.

*Create and implement a roadmap for application development toolsets – ensure migration to DevOps toolset is a success by embedding the toolset in all processes.

*Ensure that developed solutions are robustly tested before being deployed in compliance

*Build a culture of continuous improvement across the wider IT Solution Development team, including improvements to software development methods, improvements to the delivery speed and quality and improving team skills and learning.

Key Skills:

*Excellent communication skills and the ability to adopt these skills to communicate effectively with various stakeholders in the business, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

*Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels (as well as external vendors and service providers) to ensure effective coordination between roles.

*Strong organisational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and management of multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.

*Strong analytical, data-processing and problem-solving skills.
