Overview

We’re looking for a Data Tutor to support learners on their journey in our Skillset programmes that help learners to become Data Analysts, Scientists and Engineers. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about learning, and helping learners to succeed in transforming their careers through the development of professional data skills.

What you’ll be doing

• Teaching Decoded workshops to groups of learners

• Coaching learners in one-on-one calls and offering support via a helpdesk platform

• Developing our products and delivery practices to ensure continuous improvement

Day To Day

Our office is based in London and we have taken a hybrid approach to working. Going into the office is currently optional unless a team working day or specific need to come in has been arranged. For example an Educator training day/team breakfast or workshop etc. Our aim is to create the ideal working pattern for our employees while taking into context the needs of certain teams to spend time together on an occasional basis.

Our working hours are from 9am to 6pm however, you will be in control and responsible for your time. You plan your working day around the best outcomes for success, identifying and prioritising projects against business needs.

The team

The Data Tutor team sits within the Product team. You will be reporting into a Senior Product Developer or Product Director and working alongside Product Developers, Teachers and other Data Tutors.

• You have a strong background in data analysis

• You are familiar with data analysis preferably with Python

• You are passionate about learning and teaching, and preferably have teaching experience

• You are a strong communicator with the ability to inspire and motivate others

• You are confident, empathetic and passionate about working with others

• You are highly organised and motivated

• You are passionate about creating a social impact

Interview process:

• Recruiter Chat: You’ll speak to our people team and be asked a series of questions about your experience, while learning about the role and Decoded.

• Remote task: You’ll get a feel for what this role does at Decoded. We’ll get a chance to assess your approach and communication style.

• Final stage interview: You will be invited to a Google Hangout with the Hiring Manager. By the end of this process, you will come away with informative insights on the role and life at Decoded.
