Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including balance sheet reconciliations, purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control.
• Lead and mentor a team of 3 accounts assistants, guiding them to reach their full potential.
• Frequently liaise with the senior management team, ensuring that the company’s financial strategies are in alignment with broader organisational goals.
• Additionally, interactions with other departmental heads are crucial to ensure inter-departmental coherence and effective resource allocation.
• Beyond routine tasks, the role demands flexibility for ad hoc ing to cater to unforeseen business needs.
• As you further your experience, you’ll progressively take on additional responsibilities such as the realms of payroll and taxation.

• As you grow and the company evolves, if you are performing well, you’ll transition seamlessly into a pivotal Financial Controller position.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for our Finance Manager position boasts of an impressive profile. They should either be ACCA/ACA qualified or nearing the completion of their qualification. A strong foundation in finance is essential, especially with pronounced balance sheet, ledger controls and VAT. Moreover, they value leadership skills that have been tried and tested, showcasing the ability to nurture, guide, and shape the future dynamics of our client’s finance team. Beyond this, a visionary perspective is a must – the aptitude to anticipate potential challenges, meticulously plan for the road ahead.

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – Hybrid working
Holidays: 25 days holiday + statutory bank holidays
Other: Study Support (if required) pension, free parking, staff discount
