Deakin’s Graduate Employment Division harnesses digital technologies and offer personalised career education through DeakinTALENT, Deakin’s careers and employment services. To be successful in this role you will have a relevant industry experience in a talent development or talent acquisition function, and high-level digital and technology literacy. You will have demonstrated experience in developing and managing programs and initiatives to support students, and have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders within and external to the University.

Flexible in location, the position can be based from either the Waterfront or Waurn Ponds Campuses in Geelong or Burwood Campus in Melbourne.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Develop, deliver, and continuously improve innovative campus and Cloud-based Talent Development programs and initiatives that support students to enhance their marketability
• Build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Talent Development programs and initiatives maximise employment outcomes for student and graduates
• Establish systems and procedures to guide work, strive for excellence, and continually evaluate progress to effectively overcome barriers in order to achieve outcomes in line with internal and external market changes
• Use understanding of the client context to anticipate needs, tailor and improve the service offering, and ensure a high-quality outcome by addressing client feedback and setting clear service standards
• Interpret needs and offers pragmatic, inclusive and sustainable solutions based on research and in alignment with University context, policies and practices

To be successful, you’ll have:

• An equivalent combination of training and industry experience or Postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards) in a relevant discipline
• Relevant current or recent industry experience in a talent development and/or talent acquisition function
• Experience within a large organisation
• Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders and working collaboratively across a complex organisation
• Experience in developing and running events that effectively reach and engage targeted cohorts
