Working as part of Deakin’s Partnering and Performance team within the Chief Financial Officer portfolio, the primary responsibility of the Management Accountant is to deliver the annual budget and forecast submissions, staff management plans, monthly reporting, reconciliations, analysis and interpretation of variances, completion of financial reports and advice on forecast and budget management.
Responsible for a designated client group, you will be an expert communicator with the ability to manage a range of stakeholder relationships. Providing insights to support your clients’ decision making, your confident and credible style will immediately position you as a trusted Finance Partner. Highly analytical and outcome focused, you will have a keen eye for the improvement of processes and will be adept in working on both an autonomous basis and in collaboration with team members and other colleagues as required. Sound judgement and strong decision-making capabilities are also key characteristics to ensure your success within this pivotal role.
