• Based at our Geelong Waterfront Campus (Burwood considered)
• Full-time (36.75 hours per week), Fixed term to March 2023
• HEW 5 ($71,467 – $80,157) + 17% Superannuation

Located in the Financial Services and Support team of our Customer Experience Service Hub, this role provides a professional and efficient level of service to process the purchasing requests across the university. The position is currently based at our Geelong Waterfront location however Burwood would be considered if necessary for the successful candidate.

The position entails assisting with customer focussed support to both internal and external customers, creation and maintenance of supplier master data and other finance administration activities. Using your organisational strengths to triage workflow so that service standards are maintained, you will be attentive to detail and have capability in analysis and reporting to reconcile data. Ideally your Excel skillset will include ability with formulae, functions and pivot tables. Experience with Workday and Service Now is keenly sought and familiarity with Archibus and TRACIE is desirable.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Day to day purchasing for all faculties and portfolios, including triage of workflow, raising purchase orders, supplier invoice requests, and ad hoc payments, to ensure achievement of operational objectives
• Building an understanding of finance processes across a wide range of functional areas, purchasing practice and multiple systems
• Providing high-level customer focussed support, advice and assistance to users of Finance services through a range of channels (phone, email, digital), ensuring enquiries are addressed promptly and accurately within agreed standards and timelines.
• Consulting with available sources, gathering relevant information and seeking the expertise and advice of other people as appropriate
• Understanding local processes, preparing standard documents, managing records, regularly tracking progress of work tasks and identifying key issues
• Delivering effective and efficient outcomes and outputs
• Building productive relationships with a diverse range of existing stakeholders
• Presenting information in a clear, structured, concise and tailored way by focusing on key messages that meet audience needs

To be successful, you’ll have:

• A Certificate III in Business or similar and / or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, relevant work experience and/or education/training
• Knowledge of a finance service area e.g. Accounts payable, accounts receivable, debt collection, purchasing
• Demonstrated experience in working effectively as a member of a team and in working independently, applying judgement and initiative in an accounting or financial environment.
