Job Description
-Reporting to the Principal- Life of Asset Planning you will support the integration of collaborating disciplines to establish the best operational execution strategies required for optimal long-term value realisation.

The role will be rewarding and varied and will involve the following:

• Independently conduct Mine Planning reviews, providing suitable recommendations and drive implementation rollout on site.
• Autonomously manage consultants engaged in the execution of specific work packages.
• Proactively support the business unit process by providing inputs, assumptions and constraints as required.
• Support the consolidation, review, documentation, and presentation of inputs to senior leadership.
• Independently complete assigned mine planning tasks aligned with the scope, specifications and standards for development, assessment and implementation utilising relevant software.
• Provide detailed mine planning and operational execution expertise to support process.
• Proactively engage with and influence key stakeholders to build alignment and drive integrated planning outcomes.
• Support the development and implementation of systems, processes and standards for execution.
• Maintain and adhere to planning, scheduling and reporting systems for execution.
• Identify and assess opportunities to maximise value to Anglo American while always ensuring safety, health and environmental impacts are considered appropriately to promote sustainable operations.

Qualifications
-To be successful in this role you will have the following:

Role-specific experience and knowledge:

• Demonstrated experience working in an operational environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in the use of strategic mine planning software including success in generation, manipulation, and implementation of complex plans.
• Demonstrated track record of leading ideas and generating these into practical initiatives to be implemented and demonstrated of successful execution.
• Ability to effectively engage with large groups of stakeholders on complex matters to achieve required outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.
• Masters or PhD in relevant discipline (desirable).
