-The purpose of Technical & Sustainability (T&S) in Anglo American is to drive the future of mining. Globally located, our T&S departments work together with operations, across business units and geographies, to deliver step-change value through integrated technical excellence.
As well as optimising and protecting value in our existing mining operations, the main purpose of our Group Discovery and Geosciences teams is to locate new deposits that we can develop and mine in a safe, productive and sustainable way.
We aim to identify new sources of minerals, often in remote and inhospitable regions, and to deliver their value through excellence in geosciences.

Job Description
-The Group Discovery and Geosciences (GDG) Team aim to deliver significant value to Anglo American via the safe and effective discovery of new mineral endowment through identification of superior value deposits by 2026.
Reporting to the Regional Finance Specialist, the Finance Analyst will provide financial and administrative support to the Australia GDG team.

COVID-19
In line with the Anglo American Metallurgical Coal COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, the Company requires employees, contractors and visitors to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of entry to a Metallurgical Coal managed operation (including camp) and the Anglo American Brisbane Corporate Office, unless an individual exemption has been granted.
Individuals who believe they have a genuine reason as to why they cannot comply to this Policy can apply to be an Exempt Individual by making an Exemption Application to the Company which will be considered during the recruitment process.
Unless an exemption has been granted, proof of vaccination requirements must be provided as part of the recruitment process and employment with Metallurgical Coal will be subject to satisfying this requirement.
