-As a key member of the Environmental team, you will be responsible for a broad range of environmental and risk management activities.

Metallurgical Coal

Metallurgical coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate two open cut and three underground metallurgical coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, every year producing millions of tonnes of the highest quality hard coking coal for this purpose.

Job Description
-The Environmental Coordinator supports all aspects of the environment function for our Grosvenor underground operation, while providing timely guidance and service to operational personnel to ensure timely delivery of the Annual environmental plan, including compliance to corporate and legislative requirements.

As our Environmental Coordinator you will be responsible for developing, planning and implementation of the site environmental programs focusing on Rehabilitation.

You will be across contractor management of our on-site contracting company.

The successful applicant will have the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The role will also see you monitoring and organising routine inspections to ensure compliance in line with all relevant environmental authorities, legislation, and regulations.

• Qualifications
  -2 years Environmental Officer experience in Resources or Mining industry (preferably Coal)
• Supervisor qualifications – S1,2,3 & G2 (or capable of obtaining)
• Demonstrated experience contributing to a team of professionals to deliver against set targets
• Experience developing and implementing solutions to complex environmental issues and facilitating continuous improvement in performance.
• Ability to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes
• Track record in driving continuous improvement
• Experience using ArcGIS (Pro) or similar mapping software
