This key role will see you provide meaningful business performance, financial and commercial analysis, guidance and advisory services in the delivery of business and performance excellence across BCO, with an initial focus on Geosciences and Transformation teams.

Job Description
-This is an opportunity to be part of a globally diversified mining business, in a key finance role. This role will see you provide meaningful business performance, financial and commercial analysis, guidance and advisory services in the delivery of business and performance excellence across the MetCoal Geosciences, Transformation and Technical teams.

This role will be rewarding, varied and will include:

• Responsible for collating five-year business plans and monthly forecasts for the MetCoal Geosciences, Transformation and Technical teams. This includes analysing, developing, consolidating and submission of business plans in a timely manner, ensuring proper funding allocations against agreed programs and all financial risks are evaluated.
• Month end accounting processing including accruals, journals, reallocations, recharges and labour costing to ensure accurate expenditure reporting.
• Continuous analysis and monitoring of business performance to identify and develop business solutions including identification and implementation of cost saving opportunities.
• Providing stakeholders with analysis of cost variances, causes, implications and clear recommendations for improvement actions.
• Providing finance input into contract management, including tender evaluation, supplier management and contract compliance.

Qualifications
-You will be CA/CPA qualified with a strong commercial acumen developed via relevant post-qualification experience in a large corporate environment or chartered accounting firm. This role requires extensive accounting skills to provide financial advice and direction.

As a member of the finance team you will be a motivated individual with strong communication, analytical and financial reporting skills. You will work with a strong team and engage effectively across all levels of the organisation in a fast paced and high performing environment.
