Job Description
-Reporting to the Accounting Services Superintendent, the Accounting Services Coordinator will be responsible for managing a team of accounting professionals in preparing timely, accurate and compliant financial accounting information for the Metallurgical Coal and Manganese Business Units.

With a strong focus on results delivery to our customers, the role is responsible for ensuring month end deliverables are met in accordance with the service level agreement and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Other key responsibilities include overseeing compliance activities in relation to indirect taxes, royalties and Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys and managing the cash receipting function and weekly joint venture cash call process.

The role is pivotal in collaborating with the Accounting Services Superintendent, Accounting Services Coordinators and the Metallurgical Coal Finance team to deliver interim and annual upstream financial reporting information to London Head Office. You will also be required to review and deliver annual financial statements and solvency statements to the business unit.

The role will be responsible for fostering a constructive and productive working environment for the team by providing direction, ongoing mentoring, coaching and training. You will have a proven track record in identifying and, resolving problems and as such will have ability to deliver continuous improvement opportunities.

• Qualifications
  -A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance combined with a CPA or CA professional designation.
• Experienced in leading a team of finance professionals.
• Solid knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Experience with a large ERP, SAP and Blackline would be advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
