DCL Corporation Hiring for Global Inventory Manager at Toronto, ON Full Time

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Reporting to the Vice President, Supply Chain, the Global Inventory Planner will be responsible for developing the inventory plan with cross-functional input, to achieve optimal inventory management and customer satisfaction. This role will work collaboratively with supply planning, product management, commercial, and finance teams to ensure directional alignment on global inventory targets and management of working capital.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
The specific responsibilities of the Global Inventory Planner, while not limited to, include:

• Drive the Material Review Board process reporting on Finished Goods and Raw Material Inventory Health, gaps, and actions to address SLOB (Slow moving and obsolete) inventory
• Define the inventory position for all regions and warehouses
• Define the supply chain setup for all SKUs (MTO vs MTS) in alignment with the Supply Planning team and sales
• Define SKU segmentation (ABC) and associated inventory levels needed to support
• Communicate to sales and customers service on lead times
• Manage the flow and communication between regional locations on the status of internal inventory replenishment

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial or Chemical Engineering, or related field is required
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) or other advanced degree preferred
• 3-5 years relevant experience required
• Demonstrated expertise in ERP/MRP Planning systems, including all relevant planning parameters such as inventory controls, replenishment, warehouse management, and procurement functionality in ERP and best-of-breed software solutions is strongly preferred
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
• Solid understanding of concepts of inventory flow throughout the supply chain
• Strong understanding of concepts of inventory management and distribution planning
• Strong customer service focus
• Ability to develop and provide reports to satisfy ongoing inquires on inventory, capacity, and product availability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate critical information
• Excellent problem solving and reasoning skills to effectively deal with problems varying in complexity relative to job level

Other Requirements

• APICS certification would be considered an asset

• Relevant experience in manufacturing industries preferable in the Chemical Industry

• Six Sigma Green / Black Belt Certification
