DCI Job Requirement for:

Software Engineer

Location: Herndon, VA

Job Description

• Writes stable, extensible code.
• Tests and maintains code.
• Integrates with third-party APIs and internal utilities
• Maintains and adds suite of automated unit and end-to-end tests
• Participates in code reviews for fellow team members code commits
• Participates in the Projects SAFe Agile and Scrum Team process
• Translates technical requirements into high-quality, secure, and robust implementations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• At least 5 to 7 years of relevant software development experience
• Strong experience in languages such as: Java, Kotlin, Python 3.x
• Exposure to front-end technologies such as: Angular and React
• Strong understanding of the implementation of REST APIs
• Knowledge of database technologies such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment.
• Strong understanding of Spring Framework

• Experience contributing to a large software project with multiple lines of effort
• Ability to design features for and maintain long standing software systems
• Quick learner, both able and willing to learn new technology and software
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, while collaborating with team members regularly
• Experienced with source control and code repository tools.
• Experience developing within Windows and/or Linux environments

Must Possess Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $140,000 – $170,000
