General Operations Manager – Supplies & Service
Location- Altoona, PA Region

Local, family-owned distribution company is seeking an experienced, professional, and thoughtful leader to oversee day to day operations of the organization and ensure the company continues to grow and thrive. To be successful in this role, the qualified General Manager should be a confident decision maker who can develop staff professionally while maintaining a safe, positive, and productive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Improve efficiency and increasing profits while managing the company’s overall operations
• Lead 35 + employees and ensure they are motivated and productive
• Oversee Human Resources functions (hire, onboard, training & development, documentation / file management, benefits and insurance)
• Assist with creating and maintaining budgets and optimize overall expenses
• Direct and guide department supervisors to manage company’s goals and set growth strategies
• Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally and ensure customer satisfaction
• Identify business opportunities with new and existing customers
• Develop and implement company policy and procedures

Requirements/ Skills:

• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar operations role
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field preferred
• Knowledge of business process and functions (HR, safety procurement, sales, operations etc.)
• Experience in planning and budgeting and overseeing general accounting procedures
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving aptitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
