Arriva are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our UK Trains teams across the Arriva group of companies in the UK.
In this role you will partner closely with all levels of management to understand the commercial drivers of our current and future talent needs, utilise strategic sourcing and search methods and create talent pools to ensure Arriva are equipped with the best talent to drive our growth.
You will collaborate, innovate and provide forward thinking recruitment and search strategies in addition to leading end to end best practice recruitment; including diversifying our sourcing channels, writing and placing job adverts, screening, interviewing and facilitating assessments as well as promoting diversity by ensuring our recruitment strategies attract diverse candidates, and enhance the overall candidate experience.
Reporting into the Talent Acquisition Lead, you will have the the opportunity to work collaboratively with our wider HR and Learning and Development teams to provide a streamlined recruitment and sourcing process. This is an excellent opportunity for a willing candidate to bring their own ideas and initiatives to our long term recruitment strategy.
To take ownership of facilitating the end-to-end recruitment within your assigned business function within the Arriva group of companies
Communicate effectively with relevant hiring managers to understand and define resourcing requirements
Tailor a recruitment strategy for each role (e.g. interviewing process, key skills and experiences required)
Advertise vacancies in the most appropriate and effective way
Screen applications, conduct initial interviews and further interviewing as required
Respond in a timely and professional manner to applicants
Create and maintain a thorough internal and external talent pipeline for future roles
Build and maintain relevant recruitment metrics (work towards high expectations of meeting SLAs)
Manage and maintain the applicant tracking system and utilise reporting dashboards to share regular data updates with hiring managers and HRBPs
Continuously review and improve recruitment processes to elevate candidate experience, in line with Arriva values
Ideally 1-2 years’ experience within an in-house recruitment function, ideally with an interest in the Rail industry
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
Experience managing external agency partners
Desire to work with senior stakeholders and deliver in a fast paced and high performing environment
This role will require flexibility to be able travel UK wide
