We have an excellent opportunity for an HR Advisor to join our team. You will provide HR support to your client groups and deliver HR activity across the employee life-cycle. Acting as one of 4 initial points of contact for all HR queries, providing comprehensive advice and guidance across the network. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated HR Advisor to join our team.
Work in partnership with Managers on performance management, employee relations and staff management/ development.
Provide professional advice and support to business customers dealing with individual performance issues (conduct, capability, health and attendance), grievances/complaints and employee relations issues. Ensure these are dealt with fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
Guide managers and staff on the application of HR policies, procedures and practices.
Work closely with HR colleagues across the business to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice.
Provide an advisory service to employees ensuring they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements.
Help to improve organisational performance by driving core business objectives
Supporting with union engagement
Providing operational support, maintaining HR Systems, reviewing and updating policies and escalating issues when necessary
Arranging and attending confidential meetings, taking notes and updating employee files where necessary ensuring accuracy at all times
Building strong relationships and regularly communicating with the management team to drive business performance
Make recommendations to drive positive change throughout the business
CIPD qualified or willing to work towards this
Experience in an HR advisory role
Experience of supporting managers in ER meetings, giving guidance and advice
Knowledge and experience of best practice within HR
Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
Excellent written communication skills to produce correspondence and reports
Experience of working effectively in teams
Experience in providing advice and support to managers
Computer literate on all of MS Office
Be a confident communicator with the ability to build strong collaborative relationships at senior level
Be ambitious and driven, willing to get your sleeves rolled up when needed
