Job Description: Healthcare Credentialing Specialist (Telehealth Company – Remote Position)
Position Overview:
As a Healthcare Credentialing Specialist in our telehealth company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance and integrity of our healthcare provider network. This remote position allows you to work from home while collaborating with various departments and external entities to facilitate the credentialing and enrollment process for our telehealth providers. Your attention to detail and expertise in healthcare credentialing will be essential in maintaining high-quality standards and building a reliable network of qualified healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Provider Credentialing: Facilitate the credentialing and enrollment process for telehealth providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, with various insurance plans and regulatory bodies.
Application Management: Review and analyze provider applications, ensuring all required documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Verification of Credentials: Verify provider credentials, licensure, certifications, malpractice history, and work history through primary sources and credentialing databases.
Maintain Provider Database: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of provider information in the credentialing database, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Collaboration with Providers: Communicate with providers to obtain missing or updated credentialing information and address any inquiries related to the credentialing process.
Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with providers and contracting teams to negotiate favorable terms for provider agreements and reimbursement rates.
Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and accreditation standards related to provider credentialing and enrollment.
Network Enrollment: Coordinate the enrollment of providers into telehealth networks and maintain ongoing relationships with contracted providers.
Provider Re-credentialing: Manage the re-credentialing process for providers to ensure ongoing compliance and participation in telehealth services.
Provider Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for newly credentialed providers, including orientation and training on telehealth policies and procedures.
