As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Dispatcher in Milpitas, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal personnel as needed.
• Monitor dispatch communications, receive and relay routine and urgent calls for service, and help coordinate the assignment of security-related resources across the location.
• Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and dispatch records, documenting calls for service, officer status updates, and/or unusual activity in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as needed, while helping to identify and report potential concerns, access issues, and/or operational disruptions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
