Dawson Levy Resourcing Looking for Site Engineer at Birmingham, West Midlands Full Time

Dawson Levy Resourcing are happy to be recruiting a Site Engineer to join a leading client of ours on a permanent basis in Birmingham working around the Birmingham area.

Role Overview:

Due to continuous growth, we have requirements for a number of Site Civil Engineers to work in and around the Birmingham area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing all civil engineering drawings, spotting potential areas either for error or for value to improve programme and cost
• Setting out, levelling and surveying the site
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications
• Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant
• Reviewing and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or designer
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
• Occasional day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors
• Implementing quality control and health and safety matters on site
• Preparing reports as required
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise

Experience and Qualifications:

• An industry applicable qualification
• Heavy civil engineering experience is essential
• Conversant in setting out and surveying techniques and modern instrumentation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
• CSCS
• SMSTS
• First Aid
• CAD experience
• Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture
• Trustworthy and ethical approach, exercising discretion where required
• Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence
• Flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
• Commitment to the provision of excellent customer service
• Experience in a fast paced, national and multi-site business
