Job Description

Our client, a world leader in diagnostics and life sciences, Roche Diagnostics, is looking for Systems Software Engineer based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Duration : Long-Term Contract (High possibility of extension)

Job Summary :

Participate in the development of the client’s sequencing platform, focusing on the integration of process, hardware, and software into the sequencer as well as troubleshooting.

This includes :

• Operation of instrumentation, setting up biologicals and buffer solutions. Initiating runs and managing data.
• Editing of run information in Python, C++
• Protocol development and optimization using Python and C++ software languages
• Script development for system testing and troubleshooting using Python
• The development of test and measurement methodology for the characterization of the system, subsystems and processes.
• The design, execution, analysis and presentation of experiments to measure specific system performance parameters. Development of accurate system, subsystem and process descriptions through a deeper understanding of the underlying system physics.
• Preparation of components of control software for system operation and component testing.

Key Skills :

Programming experience with python required, C++ a plus

Understanding of DNA manipulation techniques and sequencing methodologies a plus
