The Accounting Manager will be responsible for directing and analyzing the financial activities for an industry leading consumer goods company. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Summarize and prepare financial statements including profit and loss statements, balance sheet review and monthly financial reports for business review
• Responsible for month-end closing and reporting of the assigned business unit; reviews and analyzes reports for accuracy and ensure timeliness of their submittal.
• Continuous improvement of the financial processes on financial issues impacting their forecasts, including identifying ways in which to minimize costs and maximize performance.
• Monitor and report on the cash flow performance and needs of the company by providing estimates of funds generated by earnings, working capital efficiency, and capital expenditure requirements.
• Work closely with CFO on multitude of operational reporting needs. Responsible for budget planning and submittal.
• Actively participate in cost avoidance and cost reduction efforts for business unit, reporting monthly savings
• Analyze product cost including materials, labor and manufacturing overhead and inventory / stocking valuation levels. (Standards & variance analysis).
• Manage & execute all accounting processes and ensure month end close processes are completed timely and in adherence with generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP)
• Identifies business strategic indicators and implement processes to track performance against these indicators.
• Lead, mentor and set annual goals for direct reports.
• Lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity, and quality, while reducing costs
• Ensure compliance of policies, procedures, and internal controls

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Accounting
• 5-10 years’ experience in relevant positions with a consumer goods or supply chain
• Strength in financial statement preparation and financial reporting
• Ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision and work in cross-functional operational teams

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and accounting software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
