About the role
This is a very exciting opportunity for someone with financial experience looking for an opportunity to join a team with genuine career development opportunities. You will play a vital role in our team by assisting in accounting, reporting and forecasting processes for our head office and 34 academies. Support with qualifications and further study will be considered for the right candidate.
The Trust places significant importance on strong financial management within each academy and across the network. This post will play a key role in this, working with both finance staff in the central team and non-finance staff across all the Trust’s academies
37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year – Permanent contract

Who we are looking for
Qualified or part-qualified accountancy qualification and/or good A-Levels, with strong GCSE grades or equivalent including Maths and English Language
Intermediate Excel user
At least 2 years’ experience of working in a finance office
Demonstrable experience of completing control account reconciliations
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to communicate concisely and effectively
Highly numerate, logical and analytical thinker
Well organised with good planning skills and the ability to deliver to agreed target dates
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Strong attention to detail
Suitability for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
