David Jones Hiring for Finance Analyst – Marketing Job at Melbourne Full Time

David Jones has a newly created Graduate Finance Analyst position supporting our Finance and Marketing teams. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner you will support in the planning, analysis, and reporting process across our Marketing business unit for monthly actuals and forecasting. We are looking for someone who passionate about finance, has strong analytical skills and enjoys building lasting relationships with their stakeholders.

With a hybrid mix of time at home as well as our corporate office in Richmond, this role will suit an Accounting Graduate with strong attention to detail who is energised by the fast-paced nature of the Retail Industry.

What does the role involve?

• Support the Finance Business Partner in monthly budget and forecasting and analysis
• Act as key contact for all invoice, vendor set up and local and international payment enquiries from the wider Marketing team
• Review monthly expenditure and ensure costs are aligned with business activities
• Support the Marketing team to ensure costs are correctly allocated into the general ledger
• Complete Ad-hoc financial tasks as required

Who are we looking for?

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
• Intermediate and above Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Index and Formulas)
• Excellent attention to detail
• A self-starter who loves collaborating with other but can also work autonomously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage with an array of stakeholders
