Description

This position is responsible for OEM (original equipment manufacturer) sales, coordinating and reviewing OEM marketing plans, forecasting OEM build quantities, helping in the development of new OEM products, and supporting the customer service/sales department in day-to-day tasks.

Education, Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates degree or higher is preferred. Valid driver license is required.

Experience

Minimum one (1) year of sales experience is required. Minimum one (1) year of fabricating, machining, welding, or pertinent technical experience preferred. Minimum one (1) year supervisor experience is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of various types of agricultural, construction, paving, and landscaping equipment is preferred.
• General knowledge of metal fabrication technology, machining, semi-automated and automated welding, part assembly, heat treating, part finishing, and quality control processes is preferred.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to organize and prioritize a workload determined by the senior management team.
• Computer proficient with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Working knowledge of office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc.
• Must have strong verbal, written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have clear communication skills and be able to reiterate information as necessary.

Essential Duties

1. Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential OEM customers.

• Utilize a variety of methods including in person sales calls, phone calls, video conferencing, attending tradeshows, attending conventions, networking, social media, etc.
• Answer inquiries from OEM customers concerning products.
• Prepare and provide quotes.
• Monitor OEM customer satisfaction, seek out ways to improve, and status to management.

2. Working with Customer Service personnel, manage OEM sales orders.

• Communicate with customers and monitor performance of large specialty OEM projects.
• Coordinate and communicate order due dates with customers, production department, and warehouse department.
• Communicate current order status with customers.
• Notify customers of price changes and obtain approval.

3. Establish and maintain production forecast of OEM parts.

4. Update OEM production sheet for production meetings.

5. Monitor OEM lead times and communicate those lead times to customers.

6. on the status of OEM sales to management.

7. Offer design and performance input on potential OEM product updates and additions.

8. Working with Graphic Design and Marketing personnel, coordinate the OEM marketing plan, develop marketing materials, and monitor the marketing plan effectiveness.

9. Ensure prudent use of OEM marketing budget and provide comparative of budgeted marketing expenses to actual expenses to management.

10. Establish standardized OEM training materials, including documented scripts, for Danuser customer service employees.

11. Train customer service employees on OEM products. Comprehensive training shall cover all areas from initial customer inquiry through technical and service-related topics after the sale.

12. Supervise Warehouse Supervisor

• Oversee workload and monitor performance.
• Working with Warehouse Supervisor, establish departmental performance goals.
• Approve/deny time-off requests.

13. Follow all company and safety policies, guidelines, and rules.

15. Work in a fast-paced environment.

16. Stay focused and on task with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

Mainly an office environment position, this role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers/printers, and filing cabinets. Intermittent trips to the manufacturing shop floor will be necessary. Safety eyewear and other PPE will be required as needed.

Physical Demands

Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time. The position may require long periods of sitting or standing while using office equipment. Bending, reaching, and lifting may be required for product testing, photo/video shoots, and trade show set-ups and teardowns.

Schedule

Full time exempt. Regular office hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

Travel

Approximately 10%-25% of time spent attending trade shows, conventions, and meeting with existing and potential customers.

Starting salary dependent on experience.
