Packaging Operations – Job Description:
Responsible for moving all finished product from the production line to the appropriate storage area, trailer or container. Ensures that the bagging and palletizing systems are kept supplied with pallets and packaging supplies. Must be able operate various machinery, including a forklift, and other material handling equipment. Responsible for that product shipments are accurate and properly documented.
Packaging Operations – Essential Duties:
1. Uses forklifts and material handling equipment.
2. Ensures all products are shipped or stored properly and counted accurately.
3. Process shipping paperwork as needed.
4. Ensures shipping labels placed correctly on product.
5. Load/unload trucks and shipping containers.
6. Minimizes damage to product.
7. Unloads inbound stock supply deliveries.
8. Help to maintain inventory accuracy rate, shipment picking and inventory counts.
9. Functions as maintenance technician during periods of maintenance downtime.
10. Adheres to company safety policies and OSHA standards.
11. Maintains a safe, neat, orderly accident free work environment, including all warehouse work areas, aisles, trucks, etc.
12. Inventories bag stock, film wrap, chipboard and hoods every Monday at first shift startup.

Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

This position takes direction from the Shift Foreman and s to the Production Supervisor.

Confidentiality: Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
Packaging Operations – Conduct: Represents Dansons Peebles, LLC in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
Packaging Operations – Physical Demands and Environment:
· Must be able to lift and carry 50-pound loads.
· Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
· Must be able to work for long periods under a wide range of ambient conditions.
· Must be able to work flexible hours.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Packaging Operations – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Show a commitment to teamwork, being results oriented.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills and effective organizational skills.
· Ability to interact with co-workers, contractors and suppliers on a professional level.
Packaging Operations – Education, Experience and Training:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Experience operating a forklift in a safe manner in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Pay: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour
