Job Description

Danfoss in Utica has an opening for a Logistics Technician. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 7 : 30 am – 4 : 00 pm.

The Logistics Technician performs a wide range of procedures following standard instructions to complete shipping papers, pack, label, address, and load on appropriately selected method of shipping.

Ensures area of responsibility meets the requirements to support production.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to proper locations as required to support production.
• Operate various electronic systems as needed for position.
• Understands and can complete 5S activities.
• Complete all required transactions in company systems.
• Recognize unusual conditions and to appropriate Supervisor and / or Lead.
• Operate forklift, load and unload trucks with training.
• Become cross trained to perform many types of tasks.
• May be required to perform other duties as required by Supervisor.
• Must practice excellent housekeeping skills and maintain equipment.
• Maintain posting of Goods Receipts and stocking of materials at bin locations after inspection
• Maintain posting of Goods issuance and returns of material which will also include removal of expired material from bins and system
• Maintain inventory accuracy of all materials by perpetual cycle count using scanner / desktop
• Maintain Record keeping of Inbound and outbound materials including material rejections and cycle counts
• Printing / sticking of labels on all materials
• Adhere to all Safety procedures.
