Dane Street Hiring for Medical Prep Specialist at United States Full Time

Summarize records and enter guidelines so that Physicians have a clear history of the patient’s current medical condition in conjunction with Utilization Management/Utilization Review process.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Review abstracted medical records
• Extract electronic medical record data including histories, records, and other health-related information
• Create a clinical summary
• Enter treatment guidelines per jurisdiction, requestor, treatment type, etc
• Enter pertinent data from electronic medical records into database
• Communicates effectively and professionally
• Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy requirements
• Other duties & special projects, as assigned and based on business needs.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

• Prior relevant clinical experience involving medical record review, medical claims or quality assurance experience desired

JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience with Peer Review and/or Case Management preferred.
• Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting is preferred.

JOB RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, excellent time management and prioritization skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, ability to be flexible, highly organized, evidence of strong computer skills including Microsoft office suite (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Any lifting, bending, traveling, etc. required to do the job duties listed above. Long periods of sitting and computer work

• Supply and support their own internet services.
