An opportunity exists for an assistant accountant to join our Finance team on a fixed term 6 months contract position. We offer great flexibility as this role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

Reporting directly to Head of Finance, this role will take full hands on ownership of preparing client invoices and to be responsible for the full revenue accounting function for the entire business. You will look after client inquiries and perform other clerical tasks related to maintaining the accounts receivable records as well as ensuring accurate revenue is being reported on a timely basis via correct sales invoicing. This role will also provide backup support to other peers in the accounting department and may perform duties which include but not limited to,

• Engagement with key stakeholders, managing month end revenue accounting and processing.
• Maintaining and tracking of hardware on client sites used for the preparation of and accurate invoicing.
• Involved with Local and Global Accounting functions associated with Sales.
• Assist with Revenue associated projects from automation to pricing and data accuracy improvements.
• Work with business to respond to financial and TWMS related queries.
• Direct communication with clients and resolving their issues.
• Ensuring new client information is set up correctly on the system for invoicing and initiating fixes to be completed by implementation and IT team.
• Resolve ad-hoc credit card receipt issues identified.
• Managing debtors, client debt collection and recovery.
• Corporate credit cards and reconciliations.

Part of a professional high performing team, you will be supportive in day to day engagement with both internal and external business stakeholders across the regions where we operate.

This role may also have the opportunity to be extended but depends on projects and if there is a need of backfill resource to continuing.

You will be degree qualified in accounting or similar discipline and have relevant experience in management accounting/financial accounting and/or coming from a solid technical background in a similar industry. It will be highly desirable if you have experience in using Financial Accounting Systems or more specifically Sage and Salesforce invoicing program.

Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively as well as being capable of making positive impacts on the business will see you succeed on the job.
