Job Summary:

The Director of New Store Set-Up is responsible for overseeing the planning,

coordination, and execution of all activities related to the opening of new retail stores.

This includes managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure that new stores are

opened on schedule and in accordance with company standards.

Essential Job Duties:

• Develop and implement comprehensive plans for the set-up of new stores, including but not limited to: scheduling deliveries, coordinating with vendors, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, merchandising, operations, and IT, to ensure that all aspects of store set-up are coordinated and executed effectively.
• Manage and track the progress of store set-up activities, identifying and resolving issues as they arise to ensure that timelines are met.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of new store set-up activities, highlighting any risks or issues that may impact the opening timeline.
• Oversee the hiring and training of store set-up teams, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as vendors and contractors, to ensure that they deliver products and services in a timely and cost- effective manner.
• Ensure that all store set-up activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements.

Required Education, Certifications, and Work-Related Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail store operations, with at least 3 years of experience in store set-up or new store opening roles.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices in store set-up and new store opening processes.

Job Scope/Impact:

• Responsible for overseeing the set-up of new stores, with direct impact on the successful opening and operation of new retail locations.
• May be responsible for managing a team of store set-up coordinators and support staff, depending on the size and complexity of the new store opening.
• Decisions and actions have a direct impact on the company’s ability to expand its retail footprint and achieve its growth objectives.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to retail store operations, including health and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of IT retail operations in-store set-up is a plus
