Inside the Role

As a member of the Freightliner Custom Chassis team, you are responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues on products using proper service procedures and technics. The candidate for this position will have a passion for process improvements, a keen eye for detail, and love numbers. Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent.
What you Drive at DTNA
  • FCCC product electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, cooling, and brake systems
  • Diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel systems (Electric Vehicle, CNG, Propane)
  • Steering system and axle alignment procedures
  • FCCC product HVAC (Heating and air conditioning)
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and schematics.
  • Must be able to furnish own tools.
  • Must be able to communicate well with customers, peers, and other departments. Provide assistance as required in all phases of problem resolution.
  • Due to customer demands, this position is exempt from the daily overtime requirements of the FCCC Overtime Policy.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor
  • Some travel may be required
Knowledge You Should Bring
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred
  • Ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of employment
  • 3-5 years of experience in all facets of repair and service of commercial vehicles
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • Associate’s degree in Automotive Truck Mechanics
Position offers a starting hourly rate of $21.25 – $31.00
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience
