Length of contract: 6 months
Contract extensions: 2 x 12 months
Security clearance: Must have current baseline clearance (Must be Australian Citizen)
Rates: $80 – $100 per hour (inc. super)
The department is seeking a technical writer to:
- prepare, review, revise and maintain technical documents, including detailed design and operational documentation for the ROVER system
- manage the technical documentation following version control standards and the department’s records management system (SharePoint)
- consult with solution architect, technical team leads and key business stakeholders to develop system documentation
- work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- provide superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience analysing and documenting relational data models (preferably SQL DB).
- Demonstrated experience writing procedural documentation targeting multiple sets of audience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop the documentation adhering to version control standards and records management system requirements.
- Proven ability to prepare, review, revise and maintain technical documents such as SOP’s, As-Is and Detailed system design.
- Demonstrated experience in working with cross functional agile teams delivering complex programs of work with a focus on agile iterative development.
Desirable Criteria
- 4 years’ industry experience as an effective technical writer.
- Proven experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system such as Dynamics CRM.
