Rates: $90 – $110 per hour (inc. super)

Work as part of an agile delivery team to produce a SAS/PAS first Azure application that will enable the Department to modernise our approach to calculating Schools Entitlements of around $23 billion per year. The candidate will focus on user stories, user experience, and other requirements deliverables, but also assist with uplifting and maturing the processes and procedures in the agile space and transfer of knowledge and mentoring of existing staff.

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrated Industry based knowledge and experience in the delivery of complex large-scale applications and web services including: • Arranging workshops, liaising with Business and technical staff • Providing progress and status reports • Mentoring and supporting junior staff • Assist the Project Manager or Delivery Manager to schedule work for each Sprint
• Demonstrated ability to: • Liaison with Business teams to establish requirements • Cooperating with other team members to turn requirements into Features • Cooperating with other team members to break down Features into User stories • Participate in daily stand-ups or scrums • Participate in demonstrations of completed work • Contribute to reports relating to team project progress
• Demonstrated ability to: • Coordinating Requirements workshops with both Business and technical staff • Updating user stories and features in conjunction with technical staff • Investigation of bugs raised during testing • Coordinating Sprint activities with other team members
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment and experience using Agile development toolset
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships in a challenging IT environment

• Understanding the business context of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations environment.
