Job Description
Core technical skill set:
- Min 5 years of Python (PRIMARY) and Perl programming, Including building APIs with libraries such as Flask, OpenApi (swagger), JSON etc
- Min 3 years Javascript programming
- Advanced Linux skill sets
- Knowledge of API gateways and web servers such as NGINX
- Experience in developing applications using open source technologies & tool sets
- Experience and knowledge of Containers and orchestration, eg Docker and Kubernetes
- Min 5 years opensource database experience – preferably MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB etc
- Experience in developing Performance monitoring applications with opensource tools, such as Grafana, time series databases, Prometheus etc
- Experience in using any one configuration management tools – preferably Ansible
- Basic Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, Firewalls, ACL, SNMP, HTTP, FTP
Key output for this role includes:
- Successfully design and deploy reporting solutions for engineering monitoring and planning functions, used by 500+ users
- Successfully design interface contracts, API and related documents to meet internal IT/Network and external vendor systems
- Successfully develop and deploy software in test and production environments
- Satisfactory code testing and reporting of testing
- Project and system documentation
- Business Analysis and Customer and stakeholder management
- Satisfactory communication and lead in a team environment
