Cygnets Art School Bristol Hiring for Children’s Art Teacher Job at Bristol, England Full Time

Introduction

Cygnets Art School has just opened its newest branch at Cass Art, in the heart of Bristol, and we’re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic teacher to run our classes! Please read all the information below before applying, as this is a part-time, freelance position, and may not be suitable for everyone.

Cygnets is a fine art school franchise for children, based in the UK. We teach traditional drawing, painting and sculpture, combined with unique projects; experienced teachers, and professional quality materials. Classes are run for ages 5-12 after school and weekends during term time, as well as every half term and school holiday.

The successful candidate will teach all classes (both term time and holiday) at the Bristol branch, for groups of up to ten students. As well as helping with the marketing of the business when required, such as flyering local schools and businesses.

Teachers are provided with all materials and a curriculum, including a step-by-step video for how to teach each project. This role would suit a creative individual with a passion for teaching, who’s looking for well-paid work in the artistic industry, but with the flexibility of minimal hours that can fit around other commitments.

Hours:

July 2022 (Marketing):

1-3 Hours/ Week Flyering Local Area

August 2022 (Holiday Workshops):

Mondays & Tuesdays 10:30am-2pm

September – December 2022 (Term Time Classes)

Mondays 4:15-5:15pm, Tuesdays 4:15-5:45pm & Sundays 11am-12pm

Then ongoing each term (10 weeks/term); half term (3 x weeks per year); Easter Holiday (2 x weeks per year), and Summer holiday (5 x weeks per year).

Pay:

£25/ hr (please note this is paid for the length of the class and includes any preparation/ set up/ clear-up time. Eg a 1hr class 4:15-5:15pm is paid at £25)

Approx £4,375 PA for average 3.36 hours per week.

Potential additional hours and income from private tuition/ classes, pending interest.

– Strong core artistic skills in a variety of mediums

– A passion for working with children

– Excellent reliability, time-keeping and organisation

Ideal Additional Requirements

– Teaching experience

– A knowledge of the local area and connection to local schools
