Cygnet Oxley Woodhouse:

Oxley Woodhouse is a residential service providing outcome focused care for adults with learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs.

Your Day-to-Day…

• To assist the education manager in delivering person centred educational activities to service users within our care.
• Helping to develop programs of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials.
• Under the guidance of the education manager provide one to one support to learners or working with a group of learners on pre-planned activities.
• Ensure with manager that equipment or materials are suitable for the learning activities, prepare materials and teaching aids where necessary. Maintaining stock of resources, ordering new when needed.
• Promote good behaviour dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy.

• Ability to be part of a small team and communicate effectively
• Be a good role model and lead by example
• Ability to motivate learners
• Be flexible, adapting to new tasks
• To have good organisational skills
• Computer confident (printing, document making, internet searching, emails.)
• Good general education.
• Ability to lead a team.
