Summary/Objective
The Senior Penetration Tester is responsible for strengthening client environments through thought leadership and working with teams to uncover vulnerabilities in corporate networks, applications, and internal systems. Utilizing both manual and out-of-the-box applications and techniques, the Senior Penetration tester will strive to improve and develop the hacking process while working to discover weaknesses in the system.

Within this role, you will also have the opportunity to provide advice to managers on remediation measures in order to strengthen the network and close gaps in the security infrastructure. In addition, upon finding vulnerabilities, you will work with managers and teams to document threats and design security protocols and policies.

Essential Functions

• Creating tests to identify vulnerabilities across systems
• Using physical security tests to uncover threats to physical security
• Finding vulnerabilities in common software as well as proprietary applications
• Identifying entry points for attackers
• Social engineering to identify areas for improvement in security awareness
• Remaining current on new and arising threats and malware
• Leading client workshops and seminars
• Managing client expectations to ensure customer success
• Reviewing corporate policy to improve on security procedures
• Enhancing current hardware and software by implementing updated security standards
• Documenting feedback and reporting to managers for review

Required Skills, Experience, Degrees or Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer security, or related field
• 5 + years conducting offensive cybersecurity assessments, including application penetration testing and infrastructure security assessments
• Experience with application testing with both manual and automated tools
• Thorough understanding of Windows and UNIX based environments
• Comprehension of network protocols and general networking components (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, DNS, routing, and related)
• Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure and GC)
• In-depth knowledge of software development in a programming language such as JAVA, JavaScript, or Python
• Knowledge of main security test tools (Kali Linux, Parrot, Cobalt Strike and BurpSuite)
• Demonstrate leadership skills to drive client projects

Preferred Skills, Experience, Degrees or Certifications

• OSCP, OSCE, CREST, GIAC or related certifications
• Organization and ability to gather and prioritize findings and action items
• Ability to strategize and think outside of the box under pressure
• Ability to work independently as well as on a team
